Travel to high altitude is increasing. The authors discuss physiological changes at high altitude, pretravel evaluation for common medical conditions, and the risks of high-altitude headache, acute mountain sickness, high-altitude pulmonary edema, and high-altitude cerebral edema.
It is interesting to note the alarming probability of side effects for all travellers.
